After approval from your potential employer, you can start planning the training course for 500hour-yinyoga-teacher-training. Upon acceptance of your application, we will send you further information about how to register for the training program.

There are two venues that offer this training in Bali; one is situated close to Sanui Sea Villa Hotel & Resort where it is very simple and easy to arrange travel back and forth. The other is at Sayura Holistic Wellbeing Studio, which is more sophisticated in terms of facility and experience.

The venue at Sayura Holistic Wellbeing Studio has several therapists available who work with the treatment of patients through traditional medicine as well as holistic therapies.

Besides yoga classes, there are many opportunities to develop your skills as a yogini throughout the three month training program. You will learn about nourishing your body and mind, teaching psychology, meditation, pranayama, and tantric philosophy.

One unique aspect of the program is that we spend half the time learning basic Iyaniology, which is studied along with yoga. We also discuss different spiritual philosophies and religions. This provides an extra layer to the training, as everyone comes away with a new understanding and perspective.

This course takes place over seven days and consists of four parts; first being testimonials, second being classroom discussion, third being individual practice and fourth being breath work.

Breath play is not required but recommended for anyone wishing to learn about it.

It’s also important to note that although the practices are wonderful they do lack some fundamental things like accountability (I am my own worst critic) and there is no one right way to do these things.

So while I would love nothing more than to hear your story after completing our certification program, let me know if you get stuck and can’t figure out something, we’re here to help each other.

Also worth noting is that everyone is different and what works for someone else may not work for you. My goal is simply to provide quality education and resources with the intention of helping people.

That said, there are many who have completed the class and continue to challenge themselves by returning week after week.

The 500-hour program consists of classroom sessions, workshops, yogasanas, breathing exercises, and two weeks of home practice. You will also have opportunities to share your knowledge as a yoga trainer.

Your class teaching will be online via Zoom video chat software. There are no classes during COVID-19 days unless they are held virtually.

When you arrive at the retreat center, you will check into your room. Each student will be given a key card for their rooms. In addition, there will be times when you’ll need to meet with your instructor or group leader to discuss activities for the day.
