What is Ashtanga Yoga?
The concept of yoga originates from ancient times. Various epics refer to various styles of yoga, however as we know today, it is two types – viniyoga (knowledge or skill) and ayoniyama (energy center process). Viniyoga focuses on physical exercises combined with mental purification; this way you can strengthen the body and the mind.

What is Rishikesh?
Where the lessons are held depends entirely upon the teachers’ availability, which varies from week to week. A rule of thumb is that you can start either at level 1 or 2 with no prerequisite other than a willingness to learn.
Many students begin at level 1 because they feel like they aren’t strong enough to do so, but find out that through hard work, their confidence increases along with their strength.
It is important to note that becoming stronger is not the goal here; the focus is on learning to correctly perform asanas (poses). When you visit any yoga school, they will tell you that practice makes perfect.
Becoming more flexible, however, is very much a reason people come to study yoga. It improves quality of life significantly, helping individuals to relax and feel relaxed. Feeling relaxed helps us to sleep better, heal faster from injuries, and experience greater enjoyment in our lives.

What is the schedule of classes?
The series runs for 8 weeks, with 2 classes per week. Each class will last 60 minutes depending on how much time you need to practice all the asanas (postures).
Each weekend we’ll hold a ‘party’ where we’ll celebrate an end of the cycle and the start of the next one. There’ll be talks about yoga and lifestyle topics, plus opportunities to share experiences and resources with other yogis.
There are 12 rooms booked for boys and girls at this rate. All students who want to come can find a room and have their keys signed out by your assistant teacher.
The rates are 200 Rs. for guests staying at the hotel, 100 Rs. for those coming less than 10 km and 50 Rs.for those coming within 10km. Students must present their student cards upon arrival. Extra services like breakfast, lunch, transfer, fees etc. may increase the price of stay.
What will I learn?Through this course, you can expand your knowledge about yoga through various techniques such as Pranayama (breathing exercises), Kriyas (panchakarma procedures), and Yogendra (self-study yogic technique).
You will also get the opportunity to improve your Sanskrit skills by completing several practices and chants within the course.
These different practices and chants are meant to strengthen your spiritual body. We will practice together weekly to ensure you receive an effective holistic training.
There is no requirement for prior experience of any kind to join our healing sanctuary courses. You only need be interested in learning and practicing yoga!
Prepare to be challenged–you will always encounter some element of difficulty during each lesson, either verbal or physical.

No, you don’t have to know Sanskrit to practice yoga. In fact, trying to force Hebrew students to speak Arabic at preschool just because you think it will make them smarter is not going to help them get too fluent in this language anytime soon!
Hebrew is one of the oldest languages currently spoken by humans. It is also a tough language to learn for many people.
However, studies show that children who grow up speaking two languages (Hebrew and English) tend to be better learners overall than those who only speak native speakers of Spanish or French.
Moreover, focusing on another culture through a foreign language can often bring about an appreciation for both their customs and yours. You can teach your child something new while expanding his/her knowledge base.
Will I experience many levels of yoga in Rishikesh?
This will depend on your level, our teachers will help you find what suits your needs best. There are several classes for all levels of practioners.

What is the cost of the course?
The detailed course fee is $2,065 which includes all meals, classes, guidance and care for your body. However, if you need help with accommodations or arranging travel; let us know when you register and we will try to save money.
There are a few other programs that include lodging but not food, so even if you stay at a hotel it can be difficult trying to balance budget.
On top of the fees people often spend extra money for drinks and entertainment. It’s best to avoid this as much as possible!
