Description of the course
The focus of this yoga teacher training is to create a safe space for people to explore their own mind and body, and to learn how to heal through the practice of yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh.
Within 2 weeks you will find yourself more calm and relaxed. You will have an improved ability to concentrate.
You will understand your thoughts and behaviors better as well as why you do what you do. And most importantly, you will know how to heal yourself.
Healing myself was something I had been wanting to do for years, but did not know how. With the help of my beautiful wife and family, I now do these things.
I would also like to add that healing others has become a passion of mine as I’ve grown older. I want to be able to help those who need helping most.
My teachers show me ways to soften deep down inside; to bring out someone else’s inner beauty. I already mentioned my love for Yoda when I spoke about my experience at Dagorlad. That place really changed me into the person I am today.

Dates of the course
Now here is an important part about the course, especially if you are still considering whether to take this training or not. There are different dates for each month, so make sure which one fits into your schedule. Most people prefer to travel during the winter months (December through March).
These are very busy times where there’s plenty of work but little outside distraction.
People also tend to spend more time sleeping and working out at this time of year, making early appointments easier. Summers (June-September) are much too hot, while winters (March-November) are cold and sleep inducing.
There’s no reason for it to be cold or rainy anywhere in Europe except maybe the midwest region of Germany. You should really think about going earlier than planned.
Fees for the course
A comprehensive fee structure will be provided to everyone who expresses interest, including those who sign up within 2 weeks from the time of announcement.

5 December 2011 7 Days Hatha & Hot Bath Yoga Therapy Course with Homestay at River Valley Resort–Approx Price $1300 (£850).
16 January 2012 6 Days Vipassana Meditation Experience with Daily Life Revamp at Kumbalkala Hotel, Gangtok- Approx Price $1000 (£650).
27 February 2012 5 Day Satyananda Sri Vishnu Yogic Workshop with Project Sumi at Shanti Ashram, Haridwar- Approx Price $600 (£400).
Project Sumi offers several types of workshops that focus on holistic skills building, lifestyle enhancement, and spiritual practice. The $600 registration covers all fees except food. Additional costs are listed below.

Topics covered in the course
During this four-week 200 hour yoga teacher training program, you will learn foundational asanas (poses) to teach your own students.
You will also develop greater awareness of yourself, and gain self-knowledge that will help you shine as a yoga instructor.
This retreat focuses specifically on teaching you easy-to-follow instructions for preparing meals using local ingredients, introducing you to your cooking repertoire and flavor combinations.
The final week includes optional activities such as massage, reiki healing, and spa time.
No experience is required, but prior instruction is preferred. A soft back does not mean you cannot be injured, so please maintain good health.

The best way to learn yoga is from an experienced teacher. More often than not, in classes where there are many people learning yoga, you will get the sense that the teachers have been teaching for years and want to help you grow too.
There are several reputable schools offering trainings where you can find a great teacher. Having known one or two these instructors personally is an added bonus!
These are helpful even if you are very familiar with the practice of yoga.
A lot of new students feel awkward during their first few classes. A good instructor will help you work through your fears and problems so that you can loosen up and relax more while being careful.
You will enjoy class much more when you know someone is helping you improve. You also won’t be overwhelmed by people trying to teach you things as you’re just taking a class for fun.
Excellent learning environment
The Rishikesh yoga course is held in a comfortable living space, where you can also explore the local area. You will be taught by professional teachers with many years of experience. Various techniques are used to enhance body and mind hygiene during your training.
This includes breathing exercises, positive self-talk and studying the chakra (energy) center of the body.
You will also have time for relaxation and rejuvenation. This helps you feel more relaxed and confident when teaching group classes.
Throughout the courses, you will learn various ways to achieve personal freedom through regular practice of poses. Along with this, we encourage you to investigate your beliefs and ask questions that need answers within yourself.
We help you know who you really are outside of what you see and hear from others. Learning other ways of doing things comes easier if you leave with new skills and habits.
Options for additional training
If you need further education or certification beyond the standard yoga teacher training, there are many other options available.
These include classes such as Ayurveda, reiki, deeper meditation practices, and more.
It is also possible to setup retreats and workshops that focus on specific aspects of yoga practice.
A common option offered by various schools is Nutritional Balancing, which is focused on health and wellness within the context of yoga. This is an advanced program and requires at least 50 hours-see below.
Fun and balanced lifestyle
Along with completing your yoga teacher training program, you will learn how to be a healthy person. You will learn about nutrition and eating habits, among other things.
If you are serious about becoming a yoga instructor, then this is important for your life career as a yogi.
The course also includes many fun activities so that it’s not just work throughout the day. Weekends include outdoor sports, dance classes, lectures, and much more.
This way you will have time to relax and recover after a busy week of teaching courses. Most programs offer some days off every week, which allow you the opportunity to practice yoga.
These types of routines increase your confidence in practicing yoga and help prepare you for when you become a teacher.
